16 days left

So my mom sent me an email today that says that I have 16 days left... It's going by fast, but we're certainly working hard and doing our best here.
We had someone just walk into church. Turns out he lives somewhere else and left half-way through before we could get his contact info, but it was cool how the members all wanted to say hi to him and get to know him. He might come back next week though.
Well, I'm out of time... again, so have a great week!

My Last Mission Email

Well, it definitely has been a great two years. I've learned a lot and become more of the person that God wants me to continue to become. My testimony has grown so much. I wouldn't trade my mission for anything. I thought about writing a longer email for my last, but alas there isn't time. That should be expected because of all my past emails. Though my time is short I would just say that I Believe in Christ. I know he is my Savior as well as yours. Turn to Him and everything will work out. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God. I know that as we come to Christ, He will show us our weaknesses. As we are humble, rely on Him, and have faith in Him, He will help us overcome our weaknesses. We are called to do things in this life that we cannot possible do, but that is alright because that is why He came. He is the one that does it. He is the one that gives us everything that we have. We just have to show that we will trust Him.Well, I'll see all of you later,

MIRACLES!

Dang, I don't even know where to start. It doesn't help that I don't have much time... again...

We have had a crazy week. It has been super busy.

So we had a meeting with some members about helping with a missionary themed youth conference. We found out that next Sunday there is going to be a fireside about missionary work for the whole stake. They are going to do a big initiative like they did last Christmas, but this time it will be for missionary work. On top of that, the 2 following Sundays we get to teach the youth how to do missionary work. It is going to be super legit. That was our huge miracle that we got.

Have an awesome week!

My Last Transfer

It is crazy how fast time goes. We had a super crazy week. Probably the craziest week I've had so far on the mission. So for transfers I am staying to finish out here in the Santa Rosa ward. Elder Christenson is getting transferred to simi valley. My new companion is going to be Elder Judkins. It should be good.
We had a cool lesson with one of our investigators. So we had talked to her earlier in the week and she told us that she had got an answer. She told us that she needed to stay in her church. We came into the lesson trying to figure out what was going to happen and she elaborated on her answer. Her answer was actually to continue learning and coming to church, but that she wasn't ready to be baptized yet. So that was a lot different then what we thought. She committed to read in the Book of Mormon every day.

Eyes of Faith and a Miracle

We had a great week! It was a really crazy week actually.
We had a zone conference. We went on a hike. Part of the hike we actually walked blindfolded. Elder Christenson only let a couple of branches hit me as told me where to go. We focused a lot on following the Spirit. It was cool.

On Tuesday, we had a lesson with a less-active member and we got there a little early. We parked a little ways up the street and decided to spiritually create his progress. We closed our eyes and pictured him standing outside the LA temple dressed in white. He had his son there in white as well and there was also his girlfriend there in white. We continued to picture this and when we opened our eyes, we saw his girlfriend pull up to his house and go inside. We ended up teaching her the Restoration. We are going to teach her the Plan of Salvation this week. That was a really cool miracle that we saw. Just goes to show, when you see things with an eye of faith, you will truly see what you saw.

It was a really good week.

Have a great day,

Elder Christofferson

We had an awesome mission conference and stake conference with Elder Christofferson. It was a really cool experience. He talked about the gospel of Jesus Christ. He also talked about how our lives our filled with good things, but we need to be careful to not let the good things crowd out the essential things. He was really down to earth and really kind to everyone. He wanted to shake all of our hands at the mission conference. He also asked to shake all of the kids hands at the end of the stake conference. Those meetings were a spiritual feast.
Have a great week everyone!

Santa Rosa Ward!

We love it here in our new ward.
We met our investigator Ann and she came to church. That was awesome.
We ran into some people that just wanted to bash with us. There was one guy that I said hi to and then he just went off yelling at us about how we didn't believe in Jesus Christ. So I just did the only reasonable thing I could think of doing, I offered him a picture of Jesus Christ. I don't think he liked that very much. He just kept yelling at us, so we just left. There was a guy that was watching the whole thing and as we passed we just said hi to him. It was actually a really funny situation. It usually is funny when people try to prove us wrong because most of the time they just prove themselves wrong.
It was a good week overall.
As a mission we have been studying the Book of Mormon and highlighting Characteristics of Jesus Christ. It has been a really cool experience. The biggest one that has stuck out is mercy. It has been there more than any other attributes and it makes sense. He has so much mercy that He really did everything for us.
Have an awesome week everyone! Always remember your Savior and always do those things that please Him.

I tried making a tie and finished it. Here is a picture of it.

Transfers! Right next door

So we are getting whitewashed out, to the same ward! We are staying together, but they are moving us to a ward just next to us. We are staying in the same apartment and everything.

We did the TSUMAMII this week. In other words, we had 20 missionaries in our area for a couple hours. We got a ton of potential investigators.

Other than that we just prepped for a stake meeting.

Have an awesome week everyone!

A New Investigator!

We found a new investigator this week! Some of the Hermanas ran into her and set up an appointment for us. During our lesson she said that she wanted to come to church, read the Book of Mormon, and be baptized! So now we just have to keep her on that path.

General Conference was amazing! The Priesthood session was the best that I remember. One missionary here described it like King Benjamin's sermon where everyone who heard it had a change of heart. I definitely felt a little chastened by the Spirit. It just hit right what I needed.

We have zone conferences this week. They were really good. We were asked to talk on serving the Lord through our obedience. It went pretty well. Elder Christenson shared a cool analogy. We call it the Jesus wheel. So you take a wheel. The end of it where it runs on the road is like the line set for commandments and what we can and cannot do. There are probably a lot of things we could squeeze just past the line and get away with, right? Here is the thing though. The axle is where the Savior is. We aren't trying to see how close to the edge we can get, we are trying to get as close to Christ as we can. There is a cool talk by Elder Hartman Rector Jr. It is called "Live Above the Law to be Free." Also the Anti-Nephi-Lehi's are a good example of this.

Have a great week everyone!

#LIMITLESS

We had a good week.
We got to go on exchanges on Tuesday. I was with Elder Betts for the day. That was fun.
We got to do something called the Flood. I think I may have mentioned it before, but a whole bunch of missionaries get together and proselyte the same area. We talked to some cool people. I also got to try to use some Spanish. The conversation when like this. We are missionaries and don't speak much Spanish. He tried to tell us something that we couldn't understand. We asked if Spanish missionaries could come by. He said no, but he understood what we said.

So there was a mission challenge on Saturday to see what zones could hand out the most Book of Mormons. Our zone, the #LIMITLESS Zone handed out 64 Book of Mormons in one day! It was crazy! It was really cool. Elder Christenson was on fire that morning. I was losing my voice and couldn't talk very well, but he still managed to hand out 8 in two hours. We managed to hand out 14 altogether. It was really cool.

Well, have a good week everyone,

Our Athiest Friends Came to Church!

We had our first investigators come to church since I have been here. They are a young athiest couple that really are more agnostic. We committed them to come to Sacrament meeting and they came! We didn't have a chance to talk to them before they slipped out, but we were praying for them the whole time to be touched by the Spirit. We'll have to see how they liked it.

We had a busy week.
Monday-P-Day
Tuesday-Meetings
Wednesday-We dropped an investigator and met with our atheist friends.
Thursday-Meetings
Friday-More Meetings and helping a crazy old lady move stuff.
Saturday-We went to a baptism in Oxnard and our car died that night.
Sunday-Church

So that is basically our week.

The story about when our car died. So I guess it wasn't actually our car that died. It was the battery. We parked to go see someone and got a phone call. We had the engine off, but we were using the bluetooth. We ended up talking for around 20-30 minutes, so in the middle of the conversation, our car died. We finished talking and our car didn't start. Luckily there was a member that was able to help us out and we got it started.

Have a great week everyone. Sorry I didn't take more pictures.

Some more pictures!

It was a pretty good week. We had to spend a lot of time preparing for a meeting that we had. We had a couple of cool things happen though.

I got a new companion Elder Christenson. He is a red head. I don't have picture this week, but I'll get one next week.

Here is something funny that happened this week. So we had dinner with some members and talked about sharing the gospel with their neighbors. We specifically told them that you never know when they are ready. We finished dinner and as we were walking to the car we talked to their next door neighbor. He was a high school aged kid and we asked if he believed in Jesus Christ. He said yes, so we asked him if he went to a church. He said no, so we asked if he wanted to go to one. He said yes, so we told him about ours and he said that he would ask his parents to make sure, but that he wanted to come. Like we said to the members, you never know when someone is ready.

Have an awesome week,

Transfers!

This week was crazy! It was a good week. It has been the best week we've had since we have been in Camarillo. So here is everything that has happened.

So transfers are happening. I am staying and Elder Allison is going to Simi Valley.

We found 2 new investigators.

The assistants truck got vandalized, but they didn't even steal the GPS in plain sight. That's in Oxnard though.

Played some basketball.

Have an awesome week everyone!

Real Intent + Faith = Miracles

We had an awesome week. We got to teach a couple of people.

So we had a worldwide missionary training. It was awesome.
The big changes. We get more sleep. We have time to write in our journals. We plan in the morning. We get to prep for our lessons right before them. We only have 4 key indicators.
That's about it in a nutshell.

It was cool to go to a meeting where the mission discussed these changes and how to implement them. There were some great idea and some not as great ones (well in my opinion), but it was cool to see the love and trust that President and Sister Felix have in the missionaries here.

It was an awesome week.
We had exchanges. We studied real intent and learned that real intent proceeds faith and is one of the ingredients for miracles. We saw some cool miracles. Everyone that we talked to became potential investigators. We were inspired to go to a specific street and a specific house. It was crazy.

Well go to go,
Love Elder Bronson
