Strawberry Fields

Lets see. We have taught our investigators this week.
We had 2 lessons with one of them. he is doing well. he committed to baptism, so now we just have to set him with a date.

Sorry not a whole lot happened this week. Just Sanna Anna winds and hot weather. That and riding bikes all the time. I like riding bikes though. It is fun and we get to talk to tons of people.

There was a primary program this Sunday. It was so funny! They basically screamed the songs. It was good. Some of the kids were super funny.

That's about it. I'll have a good story next week.
Have an awesome week

Potential

Hello everyone! This week was great.
I was able to meet a lot of our investigators.
The weather here is great.
I am so excited for the work here. The work is just going to take off. There is so much potential here.
Speaking of potential. I learned something really, really cool this week. I would even call it a hidden treasure of knowledge.
So we all have tons of potential. Lots of it. We can all become someone amazing. That is just a part of our divine heritage. So if we understand our potential why wouldn't we reach it?
I came up with 3 things. 1 distractions 2 fear and 3 light-mindedness. Let me touch on light-mindedness. So many people do not understand the consequences of their actions. If great things come to pass step by step, line upon line, precept upon precept, then if we don't do those things, they do not come to pass. We need to pay attention to the little things because that is the only way we will achieve our full potential.

Sorry out of time.
Have an awesome week everyone.

Transfers!

So I'm getting transferred. I'm going to Ventura 3rd ward with Elder Hidalgo. It should be fun. Plus there is great weather there. I am going to be in an all bike area though, so that should be fun. Bikes for days.
Well, we've been saying bye to people the past few days. That and packing.
We had a lesson with a couple of investigators this week. They went well. One said that they won't join the church and the other said that they are going to. So I'd say it was a pretty good week.

So something I though of this week. So think of when you are on a trip using a map or a gps or something. You need to know two things. First, where are you going and second, where are you. So the thought occurred to me that it is like our spiritual journey. We need to know where we are going or understand our potential. Next we need to know where we are. Something that helped me a lot was that for a time, I read my patriarchal blessing every night. Thinking back, I am so grateful for the wealth of knowledge that my Heavenly Father granted to me. Another thing is that taking the sacrament is when we reroute or check our progress. I've found that during the sacrament is the best time to receive revelation about how we need to improve. So I've got a challenge for everyone. Pray and ask Heavenly Father to show you your real potential. I can tell you it is a lot more that you think. It is a testimony to me how he takes imperfect people like us and gives us a chance to literally become like Him.

Have an awesome week,

Here are a couple of legit pictures. They are pretty funny.

Become like unto a little child to enter into the kingdom of heaven. It goes something like that.

Exchanges

This week was pretty good. We had a sweet lesson on the Plan of Salvation with one of our investigators. She has been reading the Book of Mormon! We were excited about that.

We have a couple more potential investigators this week. We actually have a lesson set up for Tuesday. It should go really well. They live in the complex we do, so we have talked the them quite a bit.

Lets see what else we did. We helped our investigators move a cast iron tub and also another put together a bike.

I went on two exchanges this week. One with Elder Huston and one with Elder Herrera. They are both pretty cool. They are super good missionaries and I learned a lot from them.
So one of the cool things that I learned was about motivation and repentance and missionary work. So there is a sentence in Preach My Gospel that says as you knowledge of the Atonement grows, your desire to share the gospel increases. In other words as we repent and feel the cleansing power of the Atonement, we find the strength to share the gospel with other and keep the commandments.

Well, I've got to go, but I'll try to get some cool stories this week to tell you next time.

Have a great week everyone,
