Another Great Week!

This week was great! We are super excited because we get to go to the temple tomorrow! It is the one in Los Angeles. I've heard it is really cool, but I get to go see it for the first time. And LA as well. It should be really great and a really cool experience.
We had a couple lessons this week with investigators.
Oh! I almost forgot. We had a worldwide training this past Wednesday. Missionaries all around the world had the same training. It was super cool. It talked all about preaching repentance and baptize converts. So we have been highlighting the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Book of Mormon. It is really cool to see how much the missionaries like Alma and Ammon really do preach repentance. Another cool thing in the training was to testify of Jesus Christ.
Well I'm out of time, but this week I want to challenge each of you to read the Book of Mormon, go to church, and pray. We like to call it spiritual CPR. It keeps us spiritually alive. Doing these thing is how we continue to live the gospel and how we continue to learn and progress.
Have an awesome week,

Another Awesome Week!

Hey everyone! How was your week?

We had another great week. On Tuesday we had a great lesson with an investigator. We taught her the Restoration. It was awesome. We had a young man in the ward with us and he just jumped in and bore his testimony. It was super cool. We had planned to invite Brenda to be baptized, and at the end of the lesson we felt prompted to invite her. Elder Hull felt the same way, so he looked over at me and made a face that basically said "Do it or I'll kill you." Not really that bad, but I thought that was funny. So I invited her and she was super surprised. She basically said no, but we'll have a couple more lessons with her and see how it goes.

I also got to go on exchanges this week with Elder Davis. It was really good. It was kind of a slow day, but at the end we were able to have a great lesson on the Plan of Salvation. The person we taught it to really liked it. It is cool to see how this knowledge can bring such great joy and peace into people's lives. It was a really great lesson.

So this week I would like to challenge everyone to try not to have fear. It is cool because as we know about the story of Adam and Eve, once they ate the fruit the first thing that they did was hide. God has been trying to teach man since then that there is no reason to fear. When we fear not we are really able to be guided by the Spirit and be able to do the things that our Heavenly Father wants us to do. So as you go though your week. Try not to be scared and if you are scared to do something that you know you should do, do it anyways.

Have an awesome week,

Miracles and More Miracles!

This week was super awesome! There were so many miracles that happened. First of all, it rained and that is a miracle in and of itself. Also we had to take our car in to the dealership when it decided to rain all day. I decided to pray that as we were walking to our appointments the rain would lighten up since Elder Hull doesn't have a rain jacket. So when we finished up lunch and went out the rain basically stopped. It sprinkled a little bit, but it was really light. Then when we went in and had a lesson with a less-active member, it started to downpour. Then as we finished up, the rain slowed up and we stayed dry. That was a super cool miracle. Remember God answers prayers!
We had another cool miracle with a semi active part member family. We had a lesson set up and when we went in they were yelling and arguing. We basically said "Ok, lets have a prayer." We had a prayer and they started arguing again. We ended up being super bold and basically chastising them and basically brought some fire and brimstone. It was all under the Spirit. It was so crazy! The Spirit was really speaking though us. Now they are starting to progress after being worked with for a couple of years. That was a super cool miracle!
Well that was basically the sum of our week. We chastised people, walked in rain, saw a couple super cool views.
So this week I challenge all of you to pray for opportunities to listen to the Spirit. Then when they come, follow them courageously and remember that GOD WILL NEVER LEAD YOU ASTRAY! As you do this you will be guided. Just remember that God will not let you fail.
Have an awesome week,

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! Hopefully you all had a Happy New Year.
This week has been great for us. I got a new companion! Elder Hull. It is kind of cool because he replaced Elder Routledge in Oxnard last transfer and now here in Ventura.

So we had a cool miracle. Last week we got a phone call from a random number. We answered and it ended up being a less-active member that wanted to get back to church. It was so cool. Really a desire is the start. Now we can start working with him to get him back.

So I would like to challenge everyone to really hearken to the Spirit. If something invites us to do good then it is of the Spirit. The Holy Ghost is a taste of Eternal Life and it is one of the best gifts we have been given. Having the Spirit with us is really true joy and happiness. It leads us to do the right thing. Really pay attention to the Spirit and make it important.

Have a great week everyone!

It's supposed to rain here in California, but we'll see if it does. Remember everyone "turn around don't drown."
