Christmas!

How was everyone's Christmas?
This week was great! We got transfer calls! So Elder Routledge is going to Santa Maria! He is going to have so much fun there with his new comp, Elder Huston. I get to stay in Ventura! My new companion will be Elder Hull.

This week we got to go help a members neighbor clean his driveway. We moved some boxes and trimmed some vines. We also went caroling a couple times this week. Our whole district met up and we got to go caroling to investigators and less actives in our areas. Plus for a grand finale we went and caroled at our mission president's house. It was tons of fun. I got to call home on Christmas day! I was really great. It was nice to be able to talk to my family. It was unreal that I hadn't been able to talk to them for almost 6 months. We also got a new investigator! The Hermana's in the stake knocked on the door trying to find a member, but instead they got to sing a Christmas carol. We had a pass off lesson. It was funny because she asked us if we celebrated holidays. It was great.

This week I would like to challenge everyone to have more charity. Remember that we are all God's children and because of that we are all brothers and sisters. This week do something kind for someone else. Maybe try having kinder thoughts toward the person who cuts you off. Just remember the love that our Heavenly Father and our Savior has for us and try to show that love to others.

Have an awesome week!

Christmas is Nigh!

This week has been awesome!

We sang in the Christmas choir.

We also got to go on exchanges this week. It was tons of fun. I got to meet some great people in another ward.

We had zone conference this week! It was super awesome. We learned about angels. It is amazing. Angels are real! They can and will help us in our time of need. They are really all around us helping us. In D&C it talks about how the Aaronic Priesthood includes ministering of angels. This week I would like you to not only think about how angels have helped you in you life, but also help others. God sends angels to help us. We can also be mortal angels as well. Be an angel! You can really help someone!

Have an awesome Christmas!
Sorry my email is so short this week I'm cramped on time.

Christmas is coming....

How has everyone's week been?
Our week has been awesome! Yesterday we ended up singing in the Stake Choir for a Christmas program. That was a lot of fun.

We got to go on exchanges this week. It was lots of fun. I got to go with Elder Hubbard to his area. I got to drive for the first time on my mission. It was almost scary at first. California is a crazy place to drive. Luckily, the traffic wasn't too bad.

We also got to help someone mow their yard this week. Just think of that. Mowing a lawn in December! That is completely ridiculous.

On Saturday we had a ward Christmas party. It was lots of fun plus we got to help set up for it. There was a great skit and an awesome video about Jesus Christ being the reason for Christmas.

This week I would like to challenge everyone to be on the lookout for how they can help others. There may be just a small thing you can do for someone to brighten their day. Someone may need help putting their groceries in their car. Someone might just need a smile. Either way, just small things can easily make someone's day. Like the scriptures say,"by small and simple things are great things brought to pass."

Have a great week this week!

We got a Christmas Tree from my family! Of course, we decided to decorate it with everything that we could find.

Another Great Week!

Hi everyone. How has this week been? For us this week has been awesome!

We got to help someone take all of their Christmas stuff out of their garage and attic.

Last Monday, our district's activity got over early, so we decided to go look at animals the pet store. Elder Routledge decided he wanted to hold some of the lizards. In the end, one decided to pee on his hand and the other decided to jump out of his hand.

So on Sunday we decided to sing in the ward choir. It was fun, so we decided to sing in the stake choir as well.

In Elder Routledge's last area, he was teaching some kids that got baptized. We got to go to the baptism. It was really cool.

So did anyone watch the A Savior is Born Video? We have been trying to hand out cards for it to everyone we talk to. What about the Christmas Devotional last night? I though that it was awesome. It really stood out to me how Christ came to dispel darkness. He came to reveal the truth and the true nature of our purpose here. Then He made it possible. He made it so that we could return to live with our Heavenly Father again. So Christmas is coming up, and this week I would like to challenge everyone to think of what they can give to the Savior. What can you give Him for Christmas?

Have an awesome week everyone!

Elder Routledge stole my camera, so here is a picture of him.
Here is a random picture of a tree. It is really weird that it is December and there is no snow.
